1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our store, placing a service or repair request, purchasing products, or using any services offered by SecureByte Computer Services ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all customers, visitors, and others who access or use our services, whether in person or through digital communication (phone, email, WhatsApp, website).

2. Services Provided

SecureByte Computer Services provides the following categories of services:

• Hardware repair and upgrade for laptops and desktops
• Software installation, OS setup, and virus/malware removal
• Data recovery and backup services
• Networking and Wi-Fi installation and troubleshooting
• Printer, scanner, and peripheral servicing
• CCTV and security system installation
• Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for businesses
• Sale of computers, laptops, accessories, and spare parts

We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion, including for devices that are beyond economical repair or in cases where the requested work may be illegal or unethical.

3. Warranty & Repairs

Repair Warranty

Repairs carried out at SecureByte Computer Services are covered by a 30-day service warranty on the specific repair performed, unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of service. This warranty covers the specific fault repaired and does not cover new or unrelated faults.

Parts Warranty

Replacement parts sourced and installed by us carry the manufacturer's warranty where applicable. Third-party parts purchased by the customer and brought in for installation are not covered under our warranty.

Exclusions

• Physical damage caused after service
• Software issues on hardware-repaired devices
• Liquid or electrical damage occurring after repair
• Damage resulting from misuse, accidents, or unauthorised repairs
• Pre-existing conditions not related to the repair performed

Products (Sales)

Products sold carry the manufacturer's standard warranty. Claims must be made through us or the manufacturer within the warranty period, with proof of purchase.

4. Limitation of Liability

While we take every precaution to ensure the safety of your devices and data during repair work, SecureByte Computer Services shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data during repair, upgrade, or software work — customers are advised to maintain backups before submitting devices
• Pre-existing hardware or software faults discovered during repair
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from delays or service interruptions
• Any loss or damage resulting from third-party software, viruses, or malware present on the device

Our maximum liability in any case shall not exceed the cost of the service or product provided.

5. Payment Terms

• All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Payment is due upon completion of service or delivery of product.
• We accept cash, UPI, and bank transfers.
• A service deposit may be required for parts-ordering jobs before work commences.
• Uncollected devices left beyond 30 days after service completion may be subject to a storage fee. Devices uncollected beyond 90 days may be disposed of after attempts to contact the customer.
• Refunds on services are evaluated case-by-case. Refunds on products are subject to manufacturer return policies.

6. Customer Data & Privacy

We collect minimal personal information as necessary to provide our services (name, phone, email, device details). This information is not sold or shared with third parties except as required by law.

During repair work, our technicians may need to access files and system settings. We handle all such access with strict confidentiality.

7. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about the device and the issue.
• Back up all important data before submitting a device for service.
• Collect your device promptly after being notified of service completion.
• Ensure you are the legal owner of the device or authorised to have it serviced.
• Use our products and services only for lawful purposes.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and layout — is the property of SecureByte Computer Services. Unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited. Software installed as part of a service must be licensed by the customer; we do not provide pirated software.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon being posted on this website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Golaghat, Assam, India.

11. Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of our services and outline mutual expectations between SecureByte Computer Services and our customers.

11.1 Service Agreement

By submitting a device for repair or placing a product order, you enter into a service agreement with SecureByte Computer Services. This agreement is governed by the terms stated in this document.

11.2 Quotes & Estimates

All repair estimates are provided in good faith. In cases where additional faults are discovered during repair, we will contact you with a revised quote before proceeding. You have the right to decline the revised quote; in such cases, a diagnostic fee may apply.

11.3 No-Fix Policy

If we are unable to repair your device, no service charge will be applied unless a diagnostic fee was agreed upon at drop-off. Parts ordered at your request before diagnosis are charged regardless of repair outcome.

11.4 Turnaround Time

Estimated repair times are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to part availability or complexity of the issue. We will keep you informed of any significant delays.

11.5 On-Site Service

On-site visits are subject to availability and a travel/visit charge where applicable. Our technicians will only perform the agreed scope of work during the visit. Any hazardous or unsafe environment may result in the visit being cancelled.

11.6 AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract)

AMC terms are detailed in a separate written agreement provided at the time of contract signing. The general Terms & Conditions herein apply where not superseded by the specific AMC agreement.

11.7 Prohibited Use

You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to: requesting installation of pirated software, seeking help with unauthorised access to systems, or submitting stolen devices for repair.

11.8 Termination

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services with any customer who violates these terms, engages in abusive behaviour toward staff, or provides false information.
